Mizuno Unveils Futuristic Wave Prophecy 9 in Muted "Gray"
Packing a fully corrugated midsole.
Back in July, Mizuno unveiled its Wave Prophecy 8 in a sleek triple-black colorway, presenting its full-length “U4icX” midsole technology that optimized lightness and cushioning. The Japanese footwear company has unveiled another monochromatic sneaker, this time in the form of the Wave Prophecy 9, a running silhouette that’s even lighter.
Doused in a muted “Gray” colorway, the sneaker boasts a mix of materials like rubber, mesh and leather panels to give the shoe a dynamically textured look and feel. Mizuno’s logo is stamped at the top of the tongue over dark charcoal-toned mesh textiles, complemented by tonal laces looped through a large form-fitting rubber cage. The toebox sees an intricate mesh weave that’s topped off by a protective leather toecap. “Wave Prophecy 9” branding is stamped at the rear quarter along a black rubber panel that blends into the lower base of the shoe. All of these details sit atop a corrugated midsole, packed with responsive “U4icX” technology for maximum stabilization and cushioning.
The Mizuno Wave Prophecy 9 “Gray” is currently available at Mizuno’s website for $210 USD.
