adidas Skateboarding Evolves Skate Footwear With New Copa Nationale Silhouette
Debuting in a lush blend of Royal Blue and yellow on March 1.

Following the unveiling of its third Aloha Super colorway alongside Mark Gonzales, adidas Skateboarding has now returned to reveal its latest evolution in skate footwear: the Copa Nationale. Drawing inspiration from the German sportswear brand’s rigorous sports pedigree, the silhouette debuts in a clean blend of Royal Blue and yellow accents that sit atop a lush gum sole.
The kickflip-ready sneaker remains reminiscent of the recently-debuted Matchbreak, opting for a low-profile shoe that seeks to take the asphalt head-on. Mainstay features of the Copa Nationale’s construction include a modernized cup-sole that sits atop a Cloudfoam heel for increased shock absorption, support, and comfort. Material-wise the shoe has been put together using premium leather and mesh materials, with a durable and texturized rubber tip implemented for enhanced grip and boardfeel.
“Pulling from adidas’ sport heritage is extremely vital when designing shoes because of how rich our archives are,” shared adidas Skateboarding Footwear Designer, Marcus Taylor. “The inspiration for the Copa revolves around our indoor soccer shoes and that low-profile aesthetic. With that, we also wanted to capture the energy of the early 2000s in skate culture told through a modern yet minimal silhouette that highlights the tech in a smart way.”
