Heitor da Silva and adidas Skateboarding Unveil Regal Forum 84 ADV Collab
The classic basketball silhouette gets revamped for the half pipes.

Earlier this fall, the adidas Forum ‘84 Low was reworked by footwear retailers Sneaker Politics and Footpatrol for a duo of projects, and now the silhouette is thrusting in one more collaboration before 2020 comes to a close. Up next is a partnership between adidas Skateboarding and global team rider Heitor da Silva that involves the classic hoops-ready model being reimagined for kick-push activities.
The base layer, comprised of both smooth and tumbled leathers, effectively portrays a regal color story. The overlays present along the mid-foot, heel and forefoot are dialed to an eggplant-esque hue, and come offset by bright white complements that are visible on the toe boxes, mesh tongues, in between the black-coated lateral/medial stripes and towards the heel. On top of that, the sock liners usher in more purple accents but differentiate with a slightly faded skin. Tongues are emblazoned with da Silva’s namesake spelled out in gold, cursive font. Riding down under, midsoles are designed with a natural white complexion and finished off with a gum outsole.
When speaking on the design inspiration behind this collaboration, da Silva stated, “I skated in the adidas Originals Forum a few years ago and loved them. I love classic basketball shoes for the look, durability and comfort…happy I got to be a part of bringing the Forum back, especially for skateboarding.”
The Heitor da Silva x adidas Skateboarding Forum ‘84 ADV will be launching on December 5th for $100 USD on adidas and via select skateboarding retailers.
Elsewhere in the realm of kicks, the Noah x adidas Gazelle collaboration has been unveiled.
