COMME des GARÇONS Wallet's "Ruby Eyes" Collection Hides a Slithering Secret
The small accessories feature a snake design inside complete with ruby-studded eyes — but can you find it?
Never one to shy away from something daring, COMME des GARÇONS‘ Wallet division is back in full swing with a trio of accessories making up its new “Ruby Eyes” collection.
The name “Ruby Eyes” isn’t fully obvious at first, as it is only when you open the wallets that you’ll find the hidden motif from which the collection earns its name.
On the outside of the orange pouch, blue coin holder and green wallet is an abstract and curvaceous design in complementing colors respective to each piece. However, upon opening the wallets, you’ll soon realize the design is in fact a snake, and that its head is hidden inside.
The serpent’s body wiggles around the inside of all three wallets, eventually peaking out inside the pouch, coin holder or underneath the leather interior segments of each piece, respectively. Its eyes are jeweled with two little rubies that are set in a gold-toned metal base.
