Apple’s iPhone 12 Ranked Best-Selling 5G Smartphone
Topping the global charts for October, despite its delayed launch.

Apple’s iPhone 12 became the world’s best-selling 5G smartphone in October, despite having only two weeks of sales across the month. According to global marketing firm Counterpoint Research, Apple’s latest release captured almost a quarter of all 5G smartphone sales across October worldwide.
This news comes somewhat unexpectedly, after the smartphone’s initial release was delayed until the middle of the month. While the reason for the delay was not specified, The Wall Street Journal reported that it could be as a result of the on-going Coronavirus pandemic and subsequent manufacturing problems across Asia.
The brand’s iPhone 12 Pro — which was released simultaneously — came second in the monthly rankings, ahead of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G.
In other news, Apple’s “AirPods Pro Lite” are expected to be priced at $200 USD.
