Warner Bros. Unveils Teaser Trailer for Upcoming 'Tom & Jerry' Movie
The project will be the cartoon’s first theatrical release in nearly 30 years.
Warner Bros. has just unveiled the first official teaser trailer to its upcoming Tom & Jerry movie.
The movie will be a hybrid live-action-animated production, centered around the zany duo: Tom is hired by Kayla, a girl who works at a prestigious hotel in New York City, to get rid of Jerry before a big wedding. Tim Story will be directing the movie, and actors Chloe Grace Moretz, Michael Pena, Rob Delaney, Ken Jeong and Colin Jost will make up the cast. “It didn’t seem like work when we were on set with [Tim Story],” said Pena in an interview about the film. “He just wants fun, and fun is what we gave him [...] There’s a certain freedom that you want, especially for that kind of family movie.” This movie’s release is particularly significant since it will be the franchise cartoon’s first theatrically-released film in almost three decades.
