Tame Impala Graces Fans With a 10th-Anniversary Box Set of ‘InnerSpeaker’
Packed with new mixes, demos and live jam sessions.
Tame Impala’s debut studio album InnerSpeaker released a decade ago, and the Kevin Parker-led rock outfit is celebrating the LP’s 10th anniversary with a special 4LP box set.
Much of InnerSpeaker’s sound feels as though Parker drew on ‘60s rock influences.The album entered the scene with its impressive psychedelic grooves, packed with swirling guitars, lush synths and other scratchy lo-fi productions that all worked together to bring out Kevin Parker’s distinctive vocals.
The box set comes with brand new mixes of the songs “Alter Ego” and “Runway Houses City Clouds” from the album, a 40-page book and instrumental tracks for “Why Won’t You Make Up Your Mind” and “It Is Not Meant to Be.” Apart from these features and the actual studio album itself, disc four from the set includes demos and a “Wave House Live Jam” session.
Tame Impala’s 10th-Anniversary 4LP Box Set for InnerSpeaker is currently available for pre-order on Tame Impala’s dedicated website and is expected to ship on March 21, 2021.
