Takashi Murakami recently took to Instagram to share photos of his signature artworks filling up a room at the Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC. With his creative effort, the artist aims to contribute to the wellbeing and improved experience for patients, service users and staff alike.

Organized by Gagosian and RxArt, the Murakami’s iconic Flowers and other characters are embellished across the walls, doors and other sections of the room including a CT/PET scanner.CT scans can detect bone and joint problems such as complex bone fractures and tumors. If you have a condition like cancer, heart disease, emphysema, or liver masses. The machinery can also spot conditions like cancer, heart disease, emphysema or liver masses, as per Web MD.

The Children’s National Hospital is considered to be one of the top 10 pediatric hospitals in the country, as per U.S. News & World Report. Last year, the hospital treated over 219,000 children from stateside and across the globe, according to the hospital’s website.

Last month, Takashi Murakami contributed an artwork as part of a treasure hunt hosted by the Grand Palais and Perrotin Gallery. The artist also recently linked up with the Grant Hyatt Hotel for a collaborative edition of tea sets featuring his unmissable motifs.
