Vans' Slip-On Receives Twisted Checkerboard Print
Livening up the classic pattern.
Vans‘ classic checkerboard print has been given a new update. Set over a pair of Slip-Ons, the Californian footwear label has playfully twisted the checker pattern.
Embodying a monochromatic color scheme of black and creamy white uppers, the shoe resembles the shape of a classic Slip-On, except with some contortions to the standard design. For example, the tongue has been shifted slightly towards the medial side, opening up more area for leather along the lateral side. Twisted black and white checkers appear at the heel and forefoot, complemented by white leather around the collars and sidewalls. As a final touch, the shoe’s red heel stamp has been moved to the lateral side of the midsole’s heel.
Vans’ twisted checkerboard Slip-On is currently available on LN-CC’s website for $70 USD.
