Unboxing the Limited-Edition Cloud9 x PUMA Future Rider Sneaker
The first footwear style of the collaboration.
PUMA‘s collaboration with the championship-winning Esports team Cloud9 transcends the worlds of gaming and fashion by combining elements of performance and style. In our latest unboxing video, we take a closer look at the collection’s newest addition: the Cloud9 x PUMA Future Rider. The shoe is the first footwear design of the series, adding to its selection of backpacks, beanies, hoodies, T-shirts and waist bags that cater to both gaming pros and fans alike.
The model reimagines one of PUMA’s signature archive sneakers with the Cloud9 logo and sky-blue colors for inventive utilitarian gear. The Future Rider riffs on one of PUMA’s simplest, most iconic running shoes: the 1980 Fast Rider. The sneaker’s super-light design and Federbein outsole made the Fast Rider a classic, and those elements are repurposed for this Future Rider as well.
Additionally, the grippy outsole is complemented by a PUMA Rider Foam midsole and a TPU heel stabilizer for enhanced comfort and balance. The translucent mesh upper, with tonal white overlays in suede and leather, is set off with hits of Cloud9 blue that paints the cobranding on the tongue. With its bold-yet-understated silhouette and rich archival legacy, this Future Rider is reimagining sportswear for a new generation.
