ASICS Drops Toasty GORE-TEX-Covered “Winterized Pack”
Comprising the GEL-LYTE III, GEL-QUANTUM 180 5 and the GEL-NANDI HI.
ASICS has followed up the unveiling of its UBS-1 GEL-KAYANO 14 by dropping its “Winterized Pack” made up of three updated iterations of the GEL-LYTE III, GEL-QUANTUM 180 5 and GEL-NANDI HI.
Tweaked for the wet season, ASICS’s GEL-NANDI HI is a high-top version of the brand’s classic GEL-NANDI. Reimagined for Fall/Winter 2020, the trail silhouette retains the advanced functionality of its original shoe, alongside the hiking aesthetic with GORE-TEX-covered suede and mesh panelling.
The GEL-QUANTUM 180 5 arrives boasting 3D-printed overlays on its upper, which is complemented with an intuitive fit system for extra comfort on foot. Similarly dipped in GORE-TEX, the sneaker houses 180 degrees of GEL technology in the midsole for long-lasting underfoot support.
Completing the collection is the classic GEL-LYTE III, a sneaker originally designed as a running shoe in the early ‘90s. Returning as a part of the “Winterized Pack”, it has been given another GORE-TEX makeover, yet preserves original elements like the split-tongue application, GEL cushioning and the leather overlays on the upper.
ASICS’ “Winterized Pack” is available to buy now from the OVERKILL webstore.
