Gloverall Adds Duffle Coat Elements To Alpha Industries' Iconic MA-1 Bomber Jacket
Introducing a hood, toggle closure and more.

Alpha Industries follows on from its successful collaboration with South Korean label ADER error with something a bit more subtle, tapping Gloverall for two takes on the iconic MA-1 bomber jacket.
Gloverall — which is best known for its Duffle coats — reworks the MA-1 with various signature details that can often be found on its own outerwear. Most notably, the collaboration combines the military and aviation-inspirations found throughout the jacket with a toggle closure towards the collar, as you would find on a Duffle.
Furthermore, the duo has added a panel on the front and rear of the jackets, as well as a hood, creating something that shouldn’t work on paper but most definitely does in actuality. Traditional Gloverall Duffle coat materials have been used on these components, which are then rivet-fastened to the nylon materials used for the body of the MA-1.
Staying true to Alpha Industries’ aesthetic, the MA-1 jackets feature a large central zip, red flight tags on the left arm (one of which noting the dual collaboration), and are finished with a bright orange lining where you can find more co-branded elements. They are served in navy and khaki, nodding once more to the marriage between Gloverall and Alpha Industries as the colors represent both brands respectively.
Gloverall’s Alpha Industries MA-1 bomber jackets will release on November 6 for $350 USD each, and will be purchasable from Alpha Industries’ website. Take a closer look at the outerwear styles above.
