G-SHOCK Realizes Both Tonal and "Utility Marble" Watches for Winter
Organic influences update five quietly stylish timepieces.

G-SHOCK‘s seasonal watch lineup is getting filled out by way of two thematic timepiece collections, yielding versatile soon-to-be classics and statement watches alike. The “Earth Tone Color Series” opts for two organic twists on technical watches, while the “Utility Marble” offering remixes familar shapes with textural marble patterns.
Both the GA2110ET-2A and GA2110ET-8A have been realized in “Earth Tone”s for this drop, swapping the usual beige and brown hues associated with the term for cool-hued grey and navy shades that draw from organic sources like stone and water. What results is a pair of appealingly understated editions that retain recognizable details — octagonal bezels, readable Neobrite watch hands — while providing some subtle updates. These come by way of the single-hued color palette, thoughtfully executed across the strap, case and face, and slightly slimmer cases that make for a more modern silhouette.
Elsewhere, G-SHOCK has revamped the GA2000WM-1A, GA700WM-5A and DW5600WM-5 with bold sculptural patterns as part of the Utility Marble release. This sees a mixed color resin molding technology put to work so as to create lifelike representations of geological formations atop each timepiece’s case and strap. The faces are still offered in black, to maximize legibility, but some small tweaks enhance their shapes; for instance, the GA700WM-5A is granted a larger bezel while the DW5600WM-5 features original details aside from the blue-green EL backlight that better suits its printed exterior.
Expect the new Earth Tone and Utility Marble models to arrive on G-SHOCK’s website and at select retailers by the end of November. All retail for $110 USD except the Utility Marble GA2000WM-1A ($130 USD.)
