Air Jordan 1 Mid "Homecoming" Is Awash in Collegiate-Inspired Style
The women’s-exclusive makeup is also known as the “Let(Her)Man.”
Once little more than a solid — if unspectacular — middle-of-the-mall staple, Jordan Brand‘s Air Jordan 1 Mid has burst into prominence over the last few years with a veritable cornucopia of compelling styles, the latest of which is this women’s’ “Homecoming” makeup. Also known as the “Let(Her)Man,” the “Homecoming” boasts a swath of collegiate-inspired tones and textures to provide a rich Air Jordan 1 homage to fall sporting traditions.
A wide variety of colors and materials take up residence on the upper, but the two that claim the most real estate are a crisp white leather on quarters, middle eyestays and toeboxes plus a white corduroy on collars and throats. Black leather appears on the mudguard and heel, working with the black laces and black tongue tag for a yin and yang-like contrast. What really hammers the collegiate inspiration home, however, is the red leather on the forefoot overlays and collar flaps, plus the bright sky blue on the felted midfoot Swooshes. Gold gets in the mix as well, appearing on the lateral collar flap’s metallic ball-and-wings logo and trimming the midfoot Swooshes on both sides. Sail midsoles and gum outsoles finalize the look.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Homecoming” will release on Nike SNKRS November 18, and will be available in an extended size run. The MSRP is set at $130 USD.
