SteelSeries Launches the Ultra-Lightweight Aerox 3 Gaming Mouse
Carrying an 18,000 CPI optical sensor.

With the popularity of ultra-lightweight gaming mice gaining momentum, SteelSeries has now launched its own take on the innovation, offering the Aerox 3 skeletonized wireless gaming mouse, weighing just 66 grams.
To push its technological boundaries, SteelSeries has once again teamed up with PixArt to create a brand new 1-to-1 sensor named the TrueMove Air, which the brand says was designed “specifically for wireless performance.” The 18,000 CPI, 400IPS and 40G optical mouse can deliver extremely precise and accurate movement while allowing for high speeds and maintaining consistency.
With greater power efficiency, the Aerox 3 achieves 200 hours of battery life in Bluetooth mode or more than 80 hours on 2.4GHz mode. It’ll also give you more than 40 hours of usage after just a 15-minute charge via its USB-C port.
Most interestingly, SteelSeries’ latest mouse is the first ever one on the market to receive an IP54 rating thanks to the company’s new AquaBarrier technology, meaning it’s water-resistant and also protected from unwanted substances like dust, dirt, and oil, a key feature for skeletonized designs.
For those interested, the new SteelSeries Aerox 3 ultra-lightweight wireless gaming mouse will be available on November 10 over on the company’s website for $100 USD.
