After creating a original artwork to pay tribute to Kobe Bryant in a group show hosted by The Real Project in August, Adam Lister returns with a official collaboration between Sanrio and Medicom Toy. The project consists of a limited edition vinyl statue of a pixelated, geometric Hello Kitty.

From the red bow to the blue overalls, Lister interprets the famous fictional character in his signature 8-bit elements as observed in his original watercolor paintings. The collectible was initially inspired by his daughter’s favorite cartoon, Hello Kitty.

The statue measures 16 by 18 centimeters and will arrive in limited units. A pre-order for Japanese customers will launch on October 30 on Hopely’s website with a preorder for all other countries kicking off on November 1. A general online release will take place on November 11.

Take a closer look at Adam Lister’s Hello Kitty collectible figure in the slideshow above and then visit the artist’s website to view more projects.
