Although this might look like a real 1964 Aston Martin DB5 with all the James Bond trickery added to it, it’s not. This is a 1:1-scale model of 007’s driving machine, handmade from fiberglass by John Stears for the James Bond film franchise as a display model that showcases what the car could do in spy-spec.

In true homage to the DB5 used in the James Bond films, this model is painted in “BASF RM Diamond Silver Birch” over gray DB5-style leatherette upholstery. It features every nuance and detail imaginable, from the 72-spoke rims, reportedly official Aston Martin lights, front grille, badging, and trim details, custom stainless steel bumpers front and rear, and of course, a host of 007-specific tweaks.

It includes replica Bond gadgets such as rotating license plates, a removable ejector roof, a rear bullet shield, rear axle tire slashers, a taillight-mounted oil sprayer, a smokescreen machine, faux machine guns with strobe lights and sound effects, and much more. The 007 logos project from below the rockers, while inside you’ll find items such as a vintage phone stored in a cubby in the driver’s door, an illuminated radar map with a flashing tracker light, and an eject button that, when pushed, creates a thumping motion underneath the passenger seat as if to replicate being thrown from the car.

This model car is truly one-of-a-kind, and as a result, is currently fetching big money over on Bring a Trailer. With four days left, the 1:1-scale Aston Martin DB5 Bond car display model has already attracted $36,500 USD — which is sure to increase as time goes on. Take a look at the model above, and find the listing on Bring a Trailer’s website.

In case you missed it, here is the Bugatti Bolide — its fastest, most powerful and lightest car to date.
