Norwegian-born, New York-based artist Okay Kaya, real name Kaya Wilkins, has shared her latest album Watch This Liquid Pour Itself. Collaborating with a range of producers such as Jacob Portrait, (Sandy) Alex G, and John Carroll Kirby (Solange, Kali Uchis) for the record, Kaya’s sound continues to exude sun-dripped contemporary pop.
Clocking in at 15 tracks that span 38 minutes in length, Okay Kaya brings forth a dreamy take on bedroom pop, fusing her fresh indie voice alongside vivid instrumentation and electronic production. Much of the style she showcases brings out nostalgic-typed ballads, further meshed with a unique take on disco-pop that aptly transports listeners to Kaya’s brisk artistic lane.
