NUMBER (N)INE Reintroduces Classic Designs for SS20
Archival graphics and plenty of collectible accessories accompanied by new standards.
Japanese streetwear label NUMBER (N)INE knows that fans and archivists retain a deep sentimentality for the designs issued by former designer Takahiro Miyashita in the mid-aughts. Thus, for Spring/Summer 2020, the brand is prepping a blend of new styles and old favorites, tweaking some of its signature designs.
A wide array of graphic T-shirts and hoodies informs much of the range, including tweaked iterations of NUMBER (N)INE’s signature Fender-style logo, tribal camouflage pattern, “School of Visual Comedy” print and bold-face branding, including one iteration co-designed by sneaker customizer Sabotage, also known as SBTG. Other standouts include a lightweight blazer, reversible parka, branded windbreaker, coaches jacket and washed-out denim jacket/pant set. Various accessories complement the wearables, including metallic sling pouches and Kurt Cobain-indebted sunglasses.
Expect the SS20 items to hit NUMBER (N)INE’s web store and Japanese stockists in the coming weeks.
Most recently, NUMBER (N)INE rejoined GOD SELECTION XXX for tribal camouflage-laden BE@RBRICKs and hoodies.
