A$AP Ferg Returns With New High-Energy Single "Value"
The Harlem rapper also debuts the first episode of his ‘Sewer Tapes’ YouTube series.
A$AP Ferg is back with the first single of the year, re-introducing himself with “Value.” The overnight release is signature Ferg thanks to a fast-paced instrumental created by platinum producer Razjah (who throws in some Three 6 Mafia ad-libs in the background for good measure) while the Trap Lord adds his high-energy flow, switching up his cadence and delivery between the first and second verse.
“Send a couple n*ggas to your bando/ Send them hot rocks through your sandals/ They say I remind them of Rondo/ Light his a** up like a candle/ F*ckin’ on her like I’m Alejandro/ My Dominican b*tch is like J. Lo,” he raps, almost outpacing himself during the three minute song.
Last year the A$AP member released his Floor Seats EP which consisted of nine curated tracks with features from MadeinTYO, Rico Nasty, A$AP Rocky, Ty Dolla $ign and others. The last we heard from the Harlem emcee was back in December, when he debuted the neon visual for his single “Jet Lag.” It’s unknown whether this track will be apart of another short but sweet Floor Seats-like offering or if he’ll harken back to 2017’s full-length Still Striving LP.
Coinciding the release of Ferg’s first output of 2020 is the debut episode of his new Sewer Tapes YouTube series where he sits down for an interview with the one and only Dapper Dan, utilizing candid behind the scenes footage of his day to day life and press runs via VHS camera.
