Here's Your Best Look at the Off-White™ Chunky Mid-Top Basketball Sneaker (UPDATE)

UPDATE (September 30, 2019): We now have a much better look at the upcoming Off-White™ mid-top basketball sneaker, in their purple and white upper variations. The caption to the IG post — uploaded by the brand’s official handle — gives the caption “Chlorine” and gives top and bottom angles of the two distinct colorways. The outsole shows “OFF” branding and modular grip sections which conjure strong vibes and style cues of early 90s basketball sneakers. Stay tuned for more emerging photos and info.
Off-White™ has teased a new sneaker ahead of its Spring/Summer 2020 presentation at Paris Fashion Week.
The mid-top offering looks to basketball sneakers for inspiration, yet draws a number of design cues from the ever-popular chunky sneaker trend, too. The uppers are padded, overlayed with panels and signature Off-White™ design cues such as arrows and waves made from leather and suede.
Ankle reinforcement comes in the form of a padded mesh collar, and the sneaker is brought together with two sets of round laces. The teaser presents several different iterations of the new mid-top sneaker, with one sporting “OFF” branding on the sole unit.
