G-SHOCK's 5000 Series Gets Upgraded in Titanium
A full metal construction from Casio’s trusty watch line.

Casio has unveiled the first watch in its G-SHOCK 5000 series to incorporate titanium in the main exterior components. The GMW-B5000TB uses the resilient and lightweight metal along the case, band, bezel and buttons, while weighing just 110 grams–57 grams less than its steel predecessor.
The design retains the familiar square-shaped facade from the original timepiece series and includes a black case with gold details, mimicking the first-ever G-SHOCK produced–the DW-5000C-1B. In addition to its titanium features, the new GMW-B5000TB adds diamond-like carbon coating and replaces the glass with scratch-resistant sapphire crystal for added protection and durability. With added details including smartphone connectivity through Bluetooth, Tough Solar charging and an STN-LCD for readability, the timepiece ensures functionality with its upgraded form.
G-SHOCK also recently teamed up with Gorillaz on an album art-inspired collection.
