'Silicon Valley' Season 6 Teaser Pokes Fun at Tech's User Data & Privacy Issues
The gang’s back for its final season.
The 6th and final season of HBO‘s Silicon Valley just received a new teaser trailer. In the clip, we see Richard Hendricks (played by Thomas Middleditch) do a Zuckerberg like appearance in front of Congress to address the issues of mishandled user data by the tech industry. Just like Zuckerberg, Richard is beyond nervous about how to answer the panel’s concerns, and in true Richard fashion, he mumbles and stumbles to just even begin to get his point across. He’s actually making Zuckerberg look like a smooth talker in comparison.
As the teaser moves on, we all see the other characters getting behind Richard about his appearance and what he has said in front of the government and the world (although that’s not revealed since that would spoil everything). “He looks like a child in a messy custody hearing,” says Gilfoyle (Martin Starr) while they watch the televised talks. Additionally, Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani) comments, ”You just want him to go away and not have any parents at all.”
Silicon Valley returns to HBO for its 6th and final season on Oct. 27.
In other entertainment news, Netflix just renewed The Naked Director for a second season.
