Nike Updates Its Air Max 97 With Lucid Tie-Dye Accents
Continuing Nike’s release of psychedelic colorways.

Following the release of its tie-dye-clad Air Force 1 ‘07 Premium, Nike continues the thematic color scheme, this time over the Air Max 97. Set in two colorways, the psychedelic patterns appear over white and black foundations – “Black/Psychic Purple” and “White/Multi-Color.”
The topmost section of the “Black/Psychic Purple” is lined with stealthy black panels, a tonal tongue and thin pull tab. Midway through the uppers, bright tie-dye shows up along the mudguards, covering the lower regions of the sneaker, including the toe cap and rear quarter.
The “White/Multi-Color” sees the color scheme reversed, starting with tie-dye accents at the top, followed by crisp white panels below. A tiny blue peace sign is etched at the top of the tongue, while splashes of fluorescent pigments extend to the forefoot. Both colorways host translucent Air Unit midsoles, offsetting the mixtures of hues with a clean footbed.
The Nike Air Max 97 “Black/Psychic Purple” and “White/Multi-Color” are currently available at nike.com for $180 and $170 USD, respectively.
