Bridging the gap between old and new, this innovative iteration of the 997 family offers a fresh take on the classic silhouette with its modernized and streamlined approach, resulting in an ideal blend of lifestyle and performance.
The 997 Sport is the most stable version of this silhouette to date, touting new Encap Reveal Technology paired with Abzorb, which is New Balance’s top of the line foam material used for cushioning. Using a new layered suspension system, the sole combines old and new technologies to make the most comfortable 997 yet. The shoe features premium materials and booty construction, providing a clean, stylistic update. And the upper pays homage to the original 997 incorporating a slimmed down, contemporary look for more everyday use.
