New 'Need for Speed Heat' Trailer Pays Tribute to Miami Street Racing
Expect “more cars, more customization, and more challenges.”
Need For Speed Heat has been announced as the newest installment in Electronic Arts‘ long-running franchise alongside a stylish new trailer. The visuals above showcase a Florida-based setting filled with neon hues, paying homage to Miami street racing through the lens of the title’s Palm City.
It will feature car customizations, a new story, and police chases, common staples of the series. Need for Speed Heat will see players compete in a number of street races called Speedhunters Showdown in an attempt to win cash and complete in underground races where the cops will chase after you to build Rep. Riley Cooper, Creative Director at Ghost Games stated in a press release that “fans have been clear that they want more cars, more customization, and more challenges, and we’re tuning up on every aspect.”
Play Need For Speed Heat early when it debuts November 5 for Origin Access Premier/Play First Trial and November 8 when it becomes available worldwide for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
In other gaming news, Sony’s PlayStation 5 will be revealed early next year.
