According to the NPD Group, the best selling game for the month of July goes to EA SportsMadden NFL 20. This marks the 20th consecutive year that a Madden NFL game has become the best-seller of its release month. Coming in at second place is Fire Emblem: Three Houses followed by Super Mario Maker 2 in third.

Additionally six of the top 10 best-selling games of July are Nintendo Switch exclusives. Along with Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Super Mario Maker 2, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild also made the list.

On the other-hand, the best selling console of the month goes to the Nintendo Switch, which beat out the PlayStation 4. Check out the top 20-best selling games of the month below, which are then broken down by console.
