SSENSE Links up With Maison Margiela for Exclusive Tabi Capsule Collection

SSENSE and Maison Margiela are coming together to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the iconic Tabi silhouette – an exclusive unisex Tabi capsule collection.
The latest capsule includes 12 pieces, encompassing an array of footwear pieces, T-shirts and accessories — all rendered in the atelier’s playful design ethos.
One standout piece is a pair of the exclusive White Out Tabi Boots, bolstered with a thick heel and high collar that covers the upper ankles. Crisp white paint is plastered over the silhouette, detailed with cracks that reveal some contrasting colors from the layer beneath. Another highlight is the Tabi Leather Glove Bag that comes with a chain. Equipped with a thin leather strip and silver-toned chain. The bag bears the shape of the footbed of the Tabi silhouette, complete with a coin-pouch closure at the top and a zipper at the front. Other items like a set of monochromatic T-shirts, thigh high boots, key chains and Tabi-shaped bottle openers round up the concise range.
The SSENSE Exclusive unisex Tabi capsule collection is currently available on SSENSE.COM ranging from $260 – $1,695 USD. The retailer will also host a pop-up at its physical Montréal store from July 4 – 18, exhibiting a retrospective of key moments of the silhouette, featuring an archival boot from Maison Margiela’s SS89 runway show.
