Medicom Toy Returns With New Basquiat BE@RBRICK
Retaining the artist’s signature style.
As part of Medicom Toy’s ongoing collaborative partnership with the Jean-Michel Basquiat estate, a new BE@RBRICK has been revealed featuring a vibrant nod to the artist’s iconic style. Penned as the third installment of the series, the new collectible will be offered up in 100% and 400% sets, as well as a larger 1000% version.
The design of the figurine retains Basquiat’s signature style, offered up in a white base that has been boldly emblazoned with motifs taken from one of the artist’s paintings. Thin illustrations featuring various figures and crossed out notes that resemble schematics reflect the New York artist’s head-turning style. Rounding out the design is a matte finish that offers a clean look.
You can take a look at the Medicom Toy BE@RBRICK Jean Michel-Basquiat #3 in the gallery above. The figurines are available for purchase via the toy brand’s CJ Mart web store for ¥10,800 JPY and ¥48,000 JPY (approximately $110 USD and $445 USD).
