Jidenna Shares Album Trailer and Tracks "Tribe" and "Sufi Woman"
The Wondaland artist returns.
After the success of his hit “Classic Man” and the release of his debut album The Chief in 2017, Jidenna finally returns to the music scene with two new tracks: “Sufi Woman” and “Tribe.” The singles are a culmination of his travels in Africa after being unexpectedly evicted from his home in Atlanta just days before leaving on a tour that ended in Johannesburg. The Grammy-nominated singer and rapper decided to make the most of the unexpected incident by continuing to explore the continent and continue making music. The inspiration from his journey serves as the impetus for his sophomore album, titled 85 to Africa.
“Tribe” presents a soulful trap tune while “Sufi Woman” showcases Jidenna’s vocals through an afrobeat-influenced sound. Both tracks are expected to be on his 2nd full-length album which is slated to drop on August 23. Take a look at the trailer for 85 to Africa above and stream “Tribe” and “Sufi Woman” below.
