H.E.R. Reflects on Past Year With "21" Music Video
Looking back at the R&B singer’s breakthrough year.
Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter H.E.R. revealed a new video and single titled “21” over the weekend. The track focuses on hitting a milestone year, while the visuals look back at some of key moments in her music career through a compilation of live performances, behind-the-scenes footage and clips from her 21st birthday party. With achievements including winning two Grammys (one for best R&B album), a 2019 BET Award, a 2019 NAACP Image Award and debuting at #1 on the Billboard R&B album chart with I Used To Know Her, the songstress takes a second to reflect on her success thus far.
“I wrote this song when I turned 21. It was one of the best years of my life! I’m experiencing all the things I prayed for as a kid and more. The scary part is, it’s just the beginning,” she shares in a press release. H.E.R. is scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza and her own Lights On Festival in Concord, CA later this year.
