The Game Drops New Post-Apocalyptic Visuals for "West Side" (UPDATE)
A nod to ‘Mad Max’ and Tupac’s classic music video “California Love.”
UPDATE: After dropping his single “West Side” last month, The Game has returned with a new music video for the track, channeling ‘Mad Max’ whilst nodding to the original visuals from Tupac‘s “California Love” from 1996.
Set in the dusty desert landscapes of a post-apocalyptic world, the Compton rapper is seen riding amongst a militia-type crew in highly customized vehicles, chasing after another group in hopes of rescuing a woman – among them, Mass Appeal Records signee Dave East makes an appearance.
“West Side” comes as the debut single for The Game’s upcoming ninth studio LP Born To Rap, which, according to the rapper, will be his final album.

ORIGINAL STORY (Jun 21, 2019):The Game has given us a first taste of his upcoming album Born 2 Rap with the single “West Side.” While its production flows steady throughout, the rapper’s distinctly coarse vocal abilities contrast the smooth head-bobbing beat, elevating the track’s cool yet aggressive ambience. Touching on his life as a Los Angeles-born and bred rapper, his story remains synonymous to many as he slowly lets go of the anger, grief and hurt over losing his friend and fellow native Nipsey Hussle.
Announcing the single via Instagram, The Game also shared that Born 2 Rap will be his final album. “I put everything I had into this album…. my TRUE FANS deserve this CLASSIC,” he wrote on the caption.
