adidas Originals is celebrating 30 years of Torsion technology with the release of a four-part pack. The German sportswear giant will be dropping a number of ZX sneakers throughout August, including the ZX 5000, ZX 6000, ZX 7000 and ZX 9000.
The colorways are retros of some classic ZXs, such as the “Creme/Red/Yellow” 6000. The ZX 9000 sports a “Mint/Scarlet/Yellow” colorway that is heavily inspired by the OG light green colorway from its first 1989 release (and not too dissimilar to its 2013 re-release), while the ZX 7000 is an exact replica of the late ’80s sneaker.
All pairs are true to OG form, featuring large Trefoil tongue tags, its slither of 3M on the heel tab and a trio of iconic shapes made from mesh, suede and plastic overlays. adidas marks this special anniversary release with “30 Years of Torsion” lace locks and insoles. The same slogan is embroidered on the reverse of the tongue tag.
