Maison Margiela Paints Glue-Covered Fusion Low Sneaker in Triple White
Cleaning up the chunky avant-garde silhouette.

Maison Margiela has given its Fusion Low sneaker an all-white makeover for the warmer months. The pair maintains its glue and duct tape-covered aesthetic and features a hand-painted rubber sole unit for an even more distressed look.
Haphazard lacing and asymmetrical components adorn the tongue, which is covered in glue and features knotted rope laces. Mesh, plastic and leather panels have been used to create the sneaker’s various overlapping layers, which sees dips and pools of hardened glue sit inbetween the gaps and over the sides.
Pieces from the shoe look like they have been torn off and re-attached with duct tape. Previous pairs such as the recently dropped “Bubblegum Mix” iteration featured distressed silver duct tape, however, Margiela keeps things tonal and generously paints over the industrial materials for a cleaner, brutalist appearance.
You can pick up your own pair of Maison Margiela Fusion Low sneakers in triple white for $1,473 USD from retailers such as MATCHESFASHION.COM.
