Dominic Fike Drops Two New Dreamy Singles
Titled “‘Açaí Bowl” and “Rollerblades.”
Just a few weeks ago, Dominic Fike took to Instagram a short snippet of new music with the caption “DOM QUIT TEASIN’.” The Florida singer has just dropped two singles titled “Açaí Bowl” and “Rollerblades.”
The former song starts off in an idyllic slow tempo with light strumming and echoing vocals until abruptly switched up. Faster drums follow with melodic auto-tune and vibrant synths. The track is essentially a love letter to a person who has stuck with him through tough times. “Rollerblades,” however, is set in a slow nocturnal groove all the way through. Rich vocal harmonies back Fike’s voice with hints of subtle piano chords and electric guitar. Other instrumental elements of the songs include crisp hi-hats and mellowed-out 808s that evoke vivid dream-like imagery.
