This Nickelodeon Slime-Inspired AJ1 Is Pure Childhood Nostalgia
Custom sneakers complete with toy-like packaging and a bottle of slime.
AMAC Customs has handcrafted a pair of Air Jordan 1 High inspired by Nickelodeon‘s television shows and its infamous green slime.
The customs were essentially built from scratch, repurposing just the sole of an Air Jordan 1 mid sneaker. The upper incorporates premium materials of cow suede, salmon skin leather and New Zealand deerskin leather along the lining, while the outer overlaying panels create a unique silhouette. The juxtaposition of bright green, orange and purple hues reflect the playful aesthetic of the children’s network and the iconic slime substance.
The sneakers come with a collector’s edition box which includes a see-through window mimicking classic toy packaging, along with a variety of laces. Further invoking nostalgia, each order also includes a bottle of slime, slime activator, and Rugrats trading cards.
Only 12 pairs will be released to the public starting on Saturday, May 11 at 11am(CST) at amaccustoms.shop.
