Maison Margiela Gets Colorful With Summer-Ready Glue-Covered Fusion Low
Adding turquoise & yellow hues to its distressed silhouette.

Maison Margiela has released a “White/Yellow/Turquoise” iteration of its distressed Fusion Low sneaker for the warmer months. Its leather and mesh upper is doused in glue which drips down onto the sneaker’s new colorful sole unit featuring duct tape-inspired panels and haphazard lacing seemingly piece together its avant-garde upper.
Pieces look as if they have been torn off the sneaker and re-attached, while cracked paint and scuffs add to the distressed, pre-worn look. Carbon fiber panels have been added to the shoe’s upper, offering an even more unique depth to its overlapping layers and post-apocalyptic aesthetic around the lateral side panels, eye stay and on the tongue.
Rounding off the design is an asymmetrical lacing system which interweaves between glue blobs, carbon fiber panels and off-kilter leather eyelets. The Maison Margiela Fusion Low “White/Yellow/Turquoise” is available from MATCHESFASHION.com for $1,473 USD.
