Goodhood, BEAMS T & Naijel Graph Team up for 10-Piece Capsule

London retailer Goodhood has teamed up with BEAMS T for the sixth year running for a ten-piece capsule collection featuring artwork by Naijel Graph.

Naijel Graph is a Tokyo-based graphic designer and has previously worked with the likes of the Japanese publication POPEYE and for the Beastie Boys’ official products. For his part in the collaboration, Graph adds his unique take on traditional Japanese artworks to T-shirts both short and long sleeve, caps and totes.

The standout piece from the collection are the aforementioned caps. Available in tan and black, the cap is a clean BEAMS T-produced staple that features a doodle of a Samurai on the front and embroidered text saying “Stealthy Footsteps Walking On Tiptoe” on the rear. Other notable pieces in the collection include the “Rokurokubi” T-shirt, which features a geisha girl whose stretched neck reminisces that of the fictitious Rokurokubi, a creature in traditional Japanese Yōkai mythology.

To celebrate, Goodhood is holding a retail launch event at its Curtain Road outpost in Shoreditch, London on June 6. The event will showcase original artworks, which will all be inspired by the collection’s theme of “Japanese Adventures in Wonderland.”
