VELVET and NEPENTHES Reunited for Exclusive Vintage Pop-Up and Limited Collaboration Items

Following the duo’s 2018 team-up, VELVET and NEPENTHES have reunited for a special pop-up event. This time, the pair launched a Tokyo-exclusive installation, complete with plenty of exclusive goods and one-off items.
Shimokitazawa-based VELVET is a reliable source of curated vintage and select fashion labels like TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist. and Midorikawa. For the pop-up, VELVET brought along handpicked goodies like embroidery-heavy jackets and painted denim jeans. To make the event extra-special, however, they joined with NEPENTHES family member NEEDLES for a series of bespoke items.
Keeping in line with current-season NEEDLES, an array of retro suiting and outerwear, from smoking jackets to stand-collar coats, has all been drenched in multicolored paint splatter. For those seeking a slightly more understated option, the pair linked for a set of bespoke tracksuits, with a glitter-heavy jacket abetted by straight- or flared-leg trousers to match. Finally, a fringed cowboy shirt and a pair of faux tour T-shirts round out the drop, the latter emblazoned with the dates of VELVET and NEPENTHES’ pop-up dates from last year.
