Solange Releases Music Video for "Things I Imagined / Down With the Clique"
An equally captivating visual.
Solange has released the self-directed and edited music video for her latest hit track “Things I Imagined / Down with the Clique” from her recent When I Get Home album. Enlisting the help of her husband Alan Ferguson, as well as Terence Nance, Jacolby Satterwhite, Ray Tintori, Autumn Knight and Robert Pruitt, the video is packed with choreography and inviting visuals.
Originally exclusive to Apple Music, the music video is lifted from the 33-minute long visual that accompanied her fourth studio album. The original film was described by Solange’s representatives in a statement as “An exploration of origin, asking the question how much of ourselves do we bring with us versus leave behind in our evolution.”
Solange has packed dozens of references in here, such as the nod to her Houston roots with the inclusion of a cowboy hat featured in the dance break, and as a result, makes for an attention-grabbing video. Artistic, atmospheric and channelling Solange’s overall relaxed tone in When I Get Home, you can watch the visual above now.
