Louis Vuitton's First Unisex Fragrance Collection Taps Artist Alex Israel
Comprised of three distinct scents.
French luxury house Louis Vuitton has just debuted its first ever line of fragrances that both men and women can wear.
The new line of unisex options tap into the spirt of Los Angeles by dedicating all three of its scents to the bustling metropolis. “Sun Song” is like a morning surf in Malibu and uses hints of orange blossom; “Cactus Garden” blends fresh cucumber with Calabrian bergamot and lemongrass; while “Afternoon Swim” has notes of orange, mandarin and bergamot. Each scent was created by renowned French perfumer, Jacques Cavalier Belletrud.
Leather travel cases made in conjunction with the fragrance’s release features artwork done by LA native Alex Israel. Israel’s work also appears on the cardboard packaging. For “Sun Song” an oversized burt-yellow sunglass lens fronts the box taken from Israel’s 2015 Lens series; “Cactus Garden” features art from his “Desperado” installation; and finally “Afternoon Swim” sees crashing waves.
The set of fragrances along with the travel cases are available now at Louis Vuitton boutiques and louisvuitton.com.
