Palace 2019 Summer Sweatshirts
Tongue-in-cheek designs include a rigatoni Triferg and anti-camouflage.
One could argue that Palace‘s hoodies and sweaters are the brand’s bread and butter. Appropriately, this season’s collection includes a Triferg logo constructed of pasta — despite the plethora of playful designs, there’s also a bevy of understated and retro-indebted goods on hand.
Hoodies are offered in every color imaginable, from washed blue and deep brown to bright yellow, with a series of inverted-color camouflage graphics providing the most eye-catching hues of the lot. Even still, unmissable graphics like a drama mask-emblazoned Triferg and bold-faced “IRIE” give the collection necessary referential flavor. Perhaps the most notable of the lot is a pasta-laden piece that spells out “PALACE” on the rear.
Elsewhere, the Triferg is flipped to spell out “VERY POWERFUL,” or rendered tiny at the chest of several washed-out crewnecks. Plenty of stylized PALACE branding abounds, including a ’90s-indebted typeface on a quarter-zip pullover, a patterned cut-out version and a circular, rainbow iteration embroidered onto the chest. Wavy stripes accent one pullover sweater, while straight lines grant a Palace Jeans snap button shirt extra throwback flair. Of course, the classic Palace rugby shirt is intact and offered in two versatile navy-tinged options.
