Microsoft Officially Unveils the Disc-Less Xbox One S All-Digital Edition
Along with pricing and release info.
Following last month’s rumors of Microsoft being set to introduce a disc-less Xbox One S soon, the tech giant has now officially unveiled the anticipated gaming console.
The forthcoming Xbox One S All-Digital Edition will be jammed packed with a 1TB HDD and digital versions of Forza Horizon 3, Sea of Thieves and Minecraft. In terms of hardware, the device remains relatively the same as the pre-existing Xbox One S console, however without the 4K Blu-ray drive.
Also instead of purchasing hardcopies of games, users can now simply just download them or sign up to Microsoft’s new Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription service for $14.99 USD per month to access the “digital library” which includes over 100 games.
Interested buyers can purchase the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition starting May 7 for a retail price of $249 USD, $50 USD cheaper than the OG Xbox One S. The original Xbox One S and Xbox One X will still remain on the roster. Head over to Microsoft’s website to pre-order yours now.
