Kevin Abstract Shares a Gritty Video for Melodic New Single "Baby Boy"
The BROCKHAMPTON star is planning on releasing two new projects this month.
Continuing his recent string of releases, BROCKHAMPTON star Kevin Abstract is following up last week’s debut of the ARIZONA baby project with another new visual and single, “Baby Boy.”
Notably, this new effort comes to us in support of his ongoing three-part release series’ remaining two studio projects — which take its creator into deeper, more experimental dives down different sonic directions and are scheduled to arrive later this month. Kevin Abstract’s “Baby Boy” clip is also a self-directed piece, and is made up of several straightforward sequence that feature him and a group of friends.
“I’d like to walk this fine line of experimental and pop when I’m making music, and I try to bring all these different type of things that inspired and influenced me when I was growing up together to make one thing that makes people feel something,” Kevin Abstract explained to Troye Sivan last year, opening up about his motivations and influences. “I kind of just want to uplift as many people as possible and speak to as many people as possible with my music, and I want to normalize a lot of things that weren’t normal where I grew up. I want to be as weird as I am. And, hopefully, that makes it easier for people to fit in. If that makes sense?”
