Karimoku Rejoins Medicom Toy for Another Lavish Rosewood BE@RBRICK 400%
Showcasing stunning wood grain textures.

Following the recent oak BE@RBRICK painted to look like rosewood, Karimoku and Medicom Toy have rejoined for another collaborative wooden BE@RBRICK. This time, the duo have joined up for an Ovangkol collectible, crafted from the precious rosewood relative itself.
Karimoku’s sturdy furniture and progressive wooden designs have made it a leader in Japan’s interior design industry, and it occasionally joins Medicom Toy to produce highly limited figures out of precious textiles. This new BE@RBRICK is no different, carved from sturdy African Ovangkol. Ovangkol is treasured by guitar manufacturers because it shares similar tonal properties with rosewood, with the benefit of being somewhat more affordable due its mild obscurity, but no less attractive than its cousin. This 400% BE@RBRICK stands tall at 11 inches, offering its owner plenty of angles to appreciate the luscious wood grain.
The new figure will launch exclusively at Medicom Toy’s PLUS outpost in Shibuya on April 20 for ¥138,240 JPY (approximately $1,235 USD).
Elsewhere, BLACkRAINBOW Agency and Snarkitecture are preparing to drop their own collaborative BE@RBRICK figure.
