KAPITAL's White MA-1 Sneaker Recalls Vintage NASA Gear
Astronauts in white flight jackets.

KAPITAL has just released its version of the classic German military trainer. Clad in white and gray, the upper of the shoe sees suede and nylon construction while pulling inspiration from a military outerwear classic, the iconic MA-1 flight jacket, a coat NASA astronauts have also worn in their traditional white and blue hues.
Seen throughout the sneaker, bits of details from the bomber are present; the snap-buttons that adorn the lateral sides, the two beefy leather pull tabs seen on the front zippers, the quilted nylon, the reinforced toebox, and most recognizable, the pen pocket that makes up the shoe’s tongue. Nice little touches are the incorporation of the zipper-to-button fastening system, and KAPITAL‘s version of the “contract” label that can be found under the pen pocket tongue.
Those interested can find these now over at KAPITAL’s web store for a price of ¥23,544 JPY (approximately $210 USD).
In other footwear news, Gucci’s Flashtrek Sneakers now come in neon green.
