Gesaffelstein & Pharrell Drop Retrofuturistic Visual for "Blast Off"
The latest visual from The Dark Prince’s sophomore album ‘Hyperion.’
Just finishing his live performance at Coachella, Gesaffelstein has finally shared the long-anticipated music video to his techno-driven pop hit “Blast Off” featuring Pharrell Williams. The single, which was released ahead of the producer’s sophomore studio album Hyperion, remains a continued foray into new territory for the artist, who previously developed an atmospherically-dark pop sound via various collaborations with The Weeknd.
The new Warren Fu-directed music video for the iconic pairing between Skateboard P and The Dark Prince takes on a futuristically sublime atmosphere — transporting viewers to a TRON-like world that sees the two carrying out their performances alongside retrofuture-driven CGI and special effects.
