HBO Drops "Inside the Episode" for 'Game of Thrones' Season 8 Episode 3

Shortly after the airing of Game of Thrones Episode 3 of Season 8, HBO is back with another “Inside The Episode” for the monumental 82-minute installment of the final season. Breaking down the sure to be remembered episode, the executive producers behind the show went through how they decided to have the battle with the White Walkers go down.

Starting things off the writers noted how everything has been building up to this moment, citing the first episode of the series which saw a group of rangers being stalked by the White Walkers. Moving into the battle, we learn how there was a conscious effort to break up the episode comprised mostly of fighting to keep audiences engaged. We also get a look into the mind of Daenerys Targaryen and how she deviated from the plan they as she watched the Dothraki army being decimated. Moving into the deaths we receive a breakdown of the deaths of Lyanna Mormont and Theon Greyjoy within the greater idea of the battle. Finally, the executive producers touch upon how Bran Stark has known where he would come face to face with the Night King and how Arya Stark was always the character they wanted to deliver the killing blow to the Night King.
