BTS' 'SNL' Debut Makes K-Pop History

Last night Korean boy band sensation BTS made history by becoming the first K-Pop group to perform on the hit comedy-sketch show Saturday Night Live, with Emma Stone playing host.

Living up to all the hype, BTS decided to perform their Halsey-assisted track “Boy With Luv” decked out in black suits while showcasing their top-notch choreography skills and pitch-perfect vocals. For their second song, the group went with “Mic Drop.”

BTS’ SNL appearance also lead to a social media frenzy, seeing as their fans, collectively known as “The Army,” from all over the world headed to Twitter and Instagram to show their enthusiasm and praise.

Watch BTS’s SNL performance and check out some of the social media reactions below. The K-Pop band also just released their album Map of the Soul: Persona on Friday and will be resuming their international stadium tour titled Love Yourself: Speak Yourself in May and June.
