BILLY's Puts a Mix-Match Spin on the Vans Era 1966
An asymmetrical design for the retro sneaker.
Japanese retailer BILLY’s teams up with Vans again after collaborating on an asymmetrical collection of Old Skools and Style 36 OG’s. This time around, the duo puts its signature “mix-match” motif on the timeless Vans Era 1966 silhouette. The four variants of colorways include Ebony/Paradise Green, Rumba Red/Blue Sapphire, Breen/Tango Red and Parisian Night/Multi, where checkered patterns and color-blocked overlays dominate the upper’s design. Crafted with predominately canvas materials and accented with velvet along the toebox, the shoes rest atop a classic rubber white midsole.
The collaborative sneakers are available exclusively now at BILLY’s online shop for ¥ 7,020 (approximately $75 USD). In related news, Vans recently partnered with Korea’s Kakao Friends and artist Hyunye on a limited collection.
